About George J. Geiger

George J. Geiger is Chairman of the South Atlantic Fisheries Management Council (SAFMC) (2nd term), and Coastal Conservation Association - Florida (CCA-Fl).  Prior he has served on the Bluefish Advisory Panel to the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC),  and the Red drum Advisory Panel to the SAFMC and the CCA National Board.  He also served on the Board of Trustees for the Indian River County Environmental Learning Center for 8 years.  He is a retired US Army Officer and worked for Harris Corporation post retirement from the Army.   For the past 14 years he has been, and currently works as, a full time inshore fishing guide in the Indian River Lagoon and is dedicated to the sustainability of marine resources.
