About David J. White
David J. White, Esq. is Director of the Ocean Conservancy’s Southeast Atlantic Regional Office, where he is responsible for conservation work on regional fisheries, marine wildlife, and habitat protection issues. He is a leading advocate for expanding the use of marine zoning and ecosystem-based management in the Southeast, with the goal of restoring fish populations and conserving important marine ecosystems such as coral reefs, fish spawning areas, and nearshore coastal habitats. Prior to joining the Ocean Conservancy, Mr. White served as Regional Counsel for the National Wildlife Federation, representing public interest clients in environmental and land use issues. He is a past Chair and current Regional Director of the Florida Wildlife Federation and also serves on the Board of Directors of the Everglades Law Center.
